to me theres is three inside just UFC cain velasquez, shawn carwin, and Juinor Dos Santos. I'm pretty confident that carwin and santos could beat him. cain not so sure. and besides that fedor if he joins UFC so to me brock Isn't going to remain champ through this fighters.

Nightmare, you might want to add Frank Mir's name to your list, seeing as how he already submitted Lesnar once.
As far as Velasquez and dos Santos are concerned, I just think they're too small to deal with a man who weighs about 280 pounds of solid muscle when they close the Octagon door, no disrespect to either man intended.
Carwin, on the other hand, can match Lesnar in terms of size, strength, and probably wrestling ability, seeing as how he was an NCAA Div.2 champion in 1999.
What Carwin may lack is Lesnar's savagery in the cage, and also Lesnar's newfound catch-wrestling skills, which he used to good effect in his second fight with Frank Mir.
I'm guessing that their similiarity in size, strength, and base skillsets would nullify the other, and sort of force this fight to stay standing, where one would think that Carwin would have an edge, fighting out of Greg Jackson's camp.
Also, I haven't seen any indication that Lesnar is developing any sort of submission game, so maybe thats another area where Carwin could gain some traction.
On the downside, Carwin is still by all accounts a part-time fighter, while Lesnar is a wealthy man and can afford to be a full-time fighter, and thus receive the benefits of a full-time training camp.
The key to a bout between these 2 Neanderthalic men is Carwin's preperation, and how seriously Lesnar decides to pursue catch- or scientific wrestling as it is sometimes called.Outside of the UFC I would give Josh Barnett half a chance to beat Lesnar, given his superior skill and experience, but his recent troubles have sort of knocked him [again] off of the radar.
And then there is Fedor.
Some think he's the best MMA fighter on the planet, some thing he's overrated and/or rusty, and some aren't so sure anymore. Newer MMA fans don't even know who Fedor is practically, but I'll say this much:
If Fedor is somehow signed to fight in the UFC, and regains his PRIDEful fighting form, and does something to improve his soft physique, he stands a good chance of hooking and submitting Lesnar, however Fedor is no larger than Velasquez and dos Santos, and runs the same risk of getting rumbled by a far larger and stronger man than himself...Posted 7 months ago # -
Nobody Lesnar will never taste defeat again.......!!!!!!

You may be right, fr702.
Shoot or catch wrestling is the perfect "discipline" for a guy like Lesnar.
He's already stated previously that his respect levels and attention span for dogmatic combat sciences like BJJ are pretty low, but he already knows all of the basics of catch-wrestling thanks to his college wrestling career, which was a success by any applied metric.
Also, a close friend who is a hardcore pro wrestling fan told me that most pro wrestlers pick up some catch-wrestling, or as some even call it scientific wrestling, so that they can protect themselves against their opponent if something goes wrong during their performances. Yes, all the outcomes are pre-determined, but it isn't uncommon from what I've been told for parts of a match to go off the rails, especially if there is legitimate bad blood between the 2 performers.
It's a well known pro wrestling anecdote that a young Hulk Hogan [6'8", 345lbs listed at the time] once had his leg snapped by a Japanese catch-wrestler, who stood a foot shorter and was 110 pounds lighter than Hogan, at the guy's gym when Hogan cracked wise with him.So Greg Nelson, who runs the Minnesota gym Lesnar trains out of, snags Erik Paulson, a legendary catch-wrestler who tutors Josh Barnett, to show Lesnar some things to keep him from getting hooked and submitted by Frank Mir again.
Which goes to show you how respected Frank Mir and his BJJ skillset are. People that disrespect or disparage Mir should please keep that in mind.
Lesnar clearly digs this "dark side" of wrestling, soaks it up like a sponge, and uses it to avoid getting submitted when he and Mir are on the ground, and then finishes the fight on his feet when they are back to vertical. When I was in high school and college, my wrestling coaches always told us that catch-wrestling, shoot-wrestling, "hooking", or scientific wrestling were all **** disciplines of a real sport, and to never get into them.
So of course as soon as I left school, I found Mike Mack's shooters camp down in St Cloud, and then later in St Peterburg, and spent 20 months there getting stretched by real talented guys. Mack was a former Paulson student, and really knew his stuff.
If Lesnar can absorb as much scientific wrestling as Paulson is willing to teach him, he may very well be unbeatable by any other HW out there, including Shane Carwin, the heralded "Lesnar-killer".Posted 7 months ago # -
good points j, and agree, but i highly doubt fedor will catch and sub brock. why you ask? imo mir is a more talented/skilled bjj guy then fedor, and if mir couldnt do it in the second fight against brock i dont think fedor will. brock didnt give mir any space to try his subs he smothered him and he will do the same to fedor. i know you could care less about fedor and brock, and im with you, but for the sake of debate this is how i see it.

for juinor dos santos i think he could win if he worked on take down defence and kept it standing. same with mir i think he was doing pretty good on the feet. and when on the ground more submission ateempts

I certainly hope so, Gunslinger.
@bigchris2328 - I've said on other threads that if Fedor were to sign with the UFC, and took the time to transition to the cage, and worked on his physique and refining his shoot-wrestling skillset into something a bit more polished and "MMA", he would have a chance to hook and submit Lesnar. Maybe not a great chance, but a chance.
However Fedor's supporters are calling for Zuffa to throw him $10 million for a single fight against Lesnar, as soon as possible.
If Fedor faces Lesnar anytime in the next 6 months, without a prior fight in the Octagon, and Lesnar keeps working with Greg Nelson and Erik Paulson, Lesnar is going to in all likelihood throw Fedor a beating.
Catch-wrestling is sort of like the antidote to BJJ and Japanese-style submission fighting, and from what we saw against Mir a few weeks ago, he's picking it up pretty fast.
Also, Fedor has never been in with anyone that much larger, stronger, more athletic, and a better wrestler than himself.
It pains me to say this, but Lesnar's got nothing to worry about if Fedor comes to the big show...Posted 7 months ago # -

Looks like your coming around a bit for the next big thing jcohl. This time next year you will be sitting at your keyboard wearing a deathclutch t-shirt sporting a crew cut drinking a coors light. ;-)

From what I've been told by guys I work with Rena Mero/Lesnar/whatever has a thing for pro wrestlers.
She used to be married to Marc Mero, an old WCW performer by the name of Johnny B Badd, and the from him she moved onto the Vanilla Gorilla.
