what a ko....nice to schaub win...madsen is to small for the hw division anyways imo....he has a lot of extra weight he could cut to get down to lhw

it wasn't the best fight Schaub isn't that well rounded but he didn't get gnp'd and threw that punch with good power, he has an opportunity to become more well rounded ofcourse being @ Jackson's fight team helps, I wonder how he will look on the Finale

What I didnt get is how Brendan trains with Rashad somewhat being part of jacksons camp but yet Rashad was more content with coaching Madsen. Hmmm.

Well Madsen spent the whole first round looking for the one punch ground and pound ko instead of hitting with what he had. He looked like someone who only had one professional fight.
Oh, and Schaub, you threw one punch the entire fight. One punch does not give you the privilege of taunting with the throat slash. Shut up, Brendan Schaub.

i think dropping madsen cold after getting LNP'd the whole first round gives him the right to throat slash...though i do believe the throat slash is the most genaric douchy celebration there is......plus its probably the worst for the image of mma.......also fr why hasnt the frenzy posted anything about the NY state athletic commision yet and about how Randy Gordon is on our side now after he went to ufc 101 ......it looks like mma is finally gonna be at madison cubed garden(futurama) ;)

Brandon Schaub showed me a lot last night, and not too much of it was what I'd call good.
As bsbiz notes, Schaub talked the talk but didn't really walk the walk. He beat a gassed wrestler masquerading as an MMA fighter in order to get on a reality TV show. IMO thats not justification for histrionics.
Also, it isn't even original.
One of my crew last night noticed that Schaub's throatslash and tongue exhibition is a poor imitation of the WWE's Undertaker.
Schaub also seems to have very limited takedown defense, and his striking didn't seem all that crisp. His fundamentals seem so rudimentary, I'm assuming that when he came to the TUF house he must have been at Greg Jackson's for one of those introductory offer/limited time only deals...Posted 2 days ago # -
the only guy that pulls off the throat slash is Thiago Silva only because he's actually cool and has street cred, Schaub doesn't, he's probalbly a mama's boy trying to gain WWE fans by trying to be The Undertaker.

Shuab seriously needs to stop doing that throat slash ****. He looks akward and self concious when he does it maybe because he feels he can't pull it off...and he's right. He looks pathetic. He's not my boy thiago silva!

Another possibility is that as much of a buinessman Dana is he is still a big fight fan, and any true fight fan has a small soft spot for Pride and all their awesomeness. Some a big soft spot. Tough to say though.

I remember a while back here on the Frenzy that Zuffa was going to air some old pride fights on spike ala "unleashed". Most likely we will not be seeing any great Fedor FIGHTS BUT I'M JUST STOKED TO GET TO REWATCH SOME OLD PRIDE FAVS. This is just a play to get to drum up hype for the new show. Bravo Mr. white it looks like mission accomplished.

guys, dana wearing a pride shirt is nothing but respect...if you check the ufc store website you'll notice they sell pride apparel and dvd's now....lorenzo wore a pride tee to the ufc 100 weigh ins i believe but anyways dana and the fertitas loved pride as fans they just had a fued with them as business men......
