I know a lot of you guys like to post things about how informed the Frenziers are compared to other sites. I'm not a fighter, but feel that the non-fighters should be represented!
Mostly, I like to comment about who should fight who, the impact of different cards on title contention, Dana White's decision making, stuff like that. I won't make a comment like "He shouldn't have pulled guard in that situation..." There are PLENTY of more educated people to give us NON-ies insight.
However, there are other topics that come up including things like the daily operation of the UFC. I feel like I can contribute to these topics as a business owner.
When it comes to putting together a card, I feel like I can contribute. I used to be one of the bigger underground concert promoters in my area. I used to have to book bands, deal with personalities, contracts, riders, etc. In that situation, it's hard to please everybody ALL of the time. It helps with gaining perspective into how the behind the scenes stuff goes down.
I've commented on the editing of TUF...I have a little experience from when I was in a band. Newspapers and zines will print things you say in a context that makes their story better...not always the story you were hoping for.
Anyway, just wanted to let the world know that I don't believe you have to be a fighter (even though it would be awesome) to contribute to da Frenzy. Educated opinions often come from different points of view.
