Hey guys...I mentioned this in the Comments section, and said I'd post a Topic...

I know some of you guys know what you're talking about because you've fought MMA or other forms of martial arts...

I would love to see vids of you guys in the ring / cage. I'm a fan of this site and also you guys. I'm the only one of my friends who can point out a potential triangle choke, arm bar, or leg lock...but I haven't been in a fight since the 7th grade...(I could tell you an awesome story about my first day of middle school...lets just say a 12 year old former UFC champ wooped up on another kid in the cafeteria....it was nuts.)...but you guys have an awesome perspective that fans of the site like me, enjoy...plus it would be very cool.

Anyway, if you guys have any vids of your fights, I'm sure me and the rest of the Frenzy posters would LOVE to see them.

If there is in fact any video coverage of the culmination of the jcohl project, I'll contact Kris, Justin H, or fr702 and see if it is cool with them to post a link.

well depending on when i get my fight hopefully by the end of january or early february ill make sure to have someone tape it or at least take some pictures.....i might take some pictures at the gym soon and post them too

Gun, if you let us know when and where, there is a pretty decent chance that one or more Bizzes will be in attendance. Including possibly a recap Biz style.

That would be awesome, JCOHL...I've been following your story, and I really think it's inspiring. How about a JCOHL video blog! (It couldn't be any worse than Belfort's!) ****, we're all pullin' for ya. I think that would be such a cool feature to the site. Mods??

You should do one, too. Why not? Hey, you're 19 years old, just starting to get into MMA, right? If you can throw a few wins together, the promotion wouldn't kill you? Fighters have to remember they're a one man business. PROMOTION!

I don't have my fights on video :-) , but I will defiantly do it for the next competition in Jan if not injuries, but I do have a video of my son's fight in Karate championship. If you guys want I can send a link on Youtube.
Hope in January I will have mine in Youtube as well.

well then if you think so....you can come to willard, ohio.....and go to 124 woodbine st. come in on mmondays and wednesdays @ 6, tuesdays,thursdays and fridays @ 7 and saturdays @ 9 A.m......Id be glad to give you a warm welcome.........Also if you dont believe me id be glad to give you any info on my training complex and all instructors at said complex........

Little harsh to rip the posters on a site you also post on for being fake don't you think? No need to take shots at people.

As far as blogs go there's a fine line between good promoting and creating an unneeded distraction. For every good blog there are 10 War Machines or Sean Salmons or Rampage Jacksons(throw Stephon Marbury in there too). If you can do it and it not be a distraction then go for it and more power to you but otherwise stick to your training and work your game from the ref's start.

Also remember guys some trainers would get pretty angry if one of their fighters making their debut were to have a camera around all the time, some trainers do care about earning the right to promote yourself. Especially for newer guys.

Why are you calling us posers? IMO that constitutes a personal attack on every member of the site. Also, to be a "poser" one has to claim to be someone/something they are not, and last I checked many of the frenzied have made no claims at being fighters.

As far as doing video blogs, for an amateur, such as many of the Frenzy members are, to do a video blog, that would be "poser"-ish. To simply train and go about their day and fight, and not try to make out like they are any more important to the fight game than they actually are is the exact opposite, and is exactly what the members of this site have done.

everyone, I didnt mean the video blogs as a personal way to promote myself or anything...ive just thought about doing it to give all you guys here at the frenzy a better view of my training and stuff

As far as having a camera around i more meant having a video blog the days before my fight....i probably wouldnt show much training except for maybe warming up a little....most of it would be just my days leading to the fight and what id be doing like hanging with friends

also speaking of that i guess i can use that to tell everyone that... my trainer jim cofer has a cousin named marc cofer( http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Marc-Cofer-23193) ...who trains in columbus with non other than Sean Salmon!....now i know sean might be in some trouble right now but there no denying the guy is a great mma fighter ...i mean he was beating rashad until he gassed and got headkicked...but anyways jim is setting up a day sometime next month where all us mma guys at the lotus are gonna go down there for a week and train with sean salmon and marc for a week which will definitly improve our game as they have a cage and pro mma fighters there......ill give more details when avalible

I don't find anything poserish about a video blog, as they usually just show stuff like Guns mentioned above. Considering how much fighters put out to train and how little they make to fight below the UFC ranks, self-promotion is all a guy's got to get his name out there. Just keep the cameras out of the gym proper, as it can distract and peeve off the other guys training (just from what I heard from an acquaintance who trains at Revolution with Newton who tried to film at the gym).

I checked that Marc Cofer link, but the only thing I found was some mom's trick for whiter teeth.

now it's advertising 3 reasons to watch APTN (Canadian Aborigional channel, weird) and some "Plan to change the world"
