You don't have to update every 30 minutes, in fact most people don't and that's an unfair sterotype.<br /> 2. Twitter can be a valuable communication tool for interpersonal communication as well as for a news source. Heck if you follow FrankTrigg he posts stuff about MMA, entertainment news, and world news.<br /> 3. It is neat at times to know what different people are doing, I'm not really a "celebrity worship" kind of person but I follow a few, including Tony Hawk and Lance Armstrong, then several fighters. (Side note: Tony Hawk does twitter hunts and gives away free skateboards, even had one 30 minutes away from, but it was gone before I got there.)<br /> 4. I actually have nearly 400 people reading my updates.<br /> 5. I am able to see updates which include links to columns and other information that I'm interested in, as well as share those items with others. I also "retweet" some MMAFrenzy posts therefore exposing mmafrenzy to those nearly 400 people that follow me on a regular basis.</p> <p>If you don't want to get a twitter account, and it's not for you, that's fine by me, but don't hate on it just because it's not your style. It has already proven to be effective and important. Most of the news that came out of Iran just after their elections and surrounding protest was gotten to the outside world via Twitter.
